#### Education

Union college - BS, Mathematics , University of Pittsburgh - MPH, Behavioral and community health sciences#### Experience

I earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Union College, and moved on to the University of Pittsburgh to complete my master's in Public Health. I have several years of experience in tutoring mathematics to high schoolers and college students, and have also spent time educating people of all ages on various healthcare issues. I'm capable of tutoring algebra, calculus, and many other mathematics courses to students ranging from elementary schoolers to adult students, and am also able to help students prepare for the SAT. I most enjoy tutoring students on the foundational skills they need to overcome roadblocks in algebra and calculus. I take the time to get to know my students so that they become comfortable talking about their struggles and challenges, and I believe in creating a respectful, positive working environment. I encourage my students to develop a true understanding of mathematics topics by asking questions that develop vital critical thinking skills. As a tutor, I enjoy watching my students master previously challenging topics, and I find helping my students past their challenges incredibly rewarding. When I'm not tutoring, I like to run, bake, read, exercise, and spend time with my family.#### Hobbies
